Daniel, on the left, with his flight instructor Moi Hoang in the “Cutting of the Tail” Ceremony following Daniel’s first solo flight. The cutting of the shirt tale is a time honored tradition for pilot students signifying they are able to fly without their instructor in the aircraft.
