Sunrise Aviation in Jacksonville offers a variety of courses to suit your needs for obtaining your Commercial Pilot Certificate. We have a 120 hour course approved under Part 141 for students with low total time. Sunrise Aviation will utilize the Redbird AATDs at Florida State College at Jacksonville to improve the learning quality and reduce expense in this program. This course also includes 65 hours of solo or PIC flight time with many cross country flights and additional IFR skill building. The Part 141 course is approved for Veterans benefits.
Sunrise Aviation can also offer students training under Part 61 if they have already met all or most of the total time and Pilot-in-Command cross-country requirements.
Sunrise Aviation bases a G-1000 TAA aircraft at Cecil Airport, the perfect airplane for meeting the 10 hour TAA/complex airplane requirement. For students not needing or wanting the traditional Commercial Pilot Single Engine Land rating as the initial Commercial Pilot Certification, Sunrise Aviation can also offer a course that uses the Piper Seminole and allows the student to obtain the Commercial Pilot Certificate with a Multi-Engine Airplane rating first.
